2017 Goals

So for those who don't know me, 2016 was a bit of a crazy year. I made the decision to separate from my husband. This now means I'm trying to get used to being single, but it's also the first time I've lived alone. This can sometimes be quite lonely, although because I'm an introvert I generally prefer my own company.

I decided that I need to take proper care of myself, whilst still enjoying life. I have come up with the following goals and I will add to the list throughout the year if I feel I've missed anything.

I'm generally quite a thrifty person, which is lucky because it's fairly expensive living alone! My friend has set herself a target of spending £10 a week on non essentials. This includes groceries, meals out, drinks with friends, and clothes etc. I'm going to do a similar thing but on a slightly higher budget. Mainly because she has stocks of food in her cupboards to possibly last a few years and I don't so I figured £750 was a fairly good amount. Enough to challenge me but not too low that's it impossible!! If I reach this goal, it allows me to save £100 a month on my current salary, hence the saving goal! 😁

  • Drink more water
  • Eat more fruit & vegetables
  • Try new food/meals
  • Try to bake once a month
  • Take lunchtime walks
  • Exercise more, aim for 4 times a week
  • Aim to save £1200
  • Aim to spend under £750
  • Sell all unwanted/unused items
  • Watch a movie every week
  • Read a book every month
  • Do a craft project every month
  • Focus on home & garden improvement
  • Grow my own vegetables
  • Do more travelling
  • Be more sociable
